Linda Kirkland is a South Wairarapa–based abstract artist whose work unfolds through intuitive layers of paint, mixed media, and remembered experience. From her garden studio on the outskirts of Greytown, she creates paintings, collages, and works on paper that explore emotional resonance, colour, and the quiet narratives held within landscapes.
Guided by instinct, Linda embraces spontaneity, allowing each mark to emerge from a dialogue between memory, place, and the natural world. Her deep love of plants and flowers often informs the organic forms and shifting palettes that appear throughout her work.
An exhibiting artist and experienced educator, Linda also hosts workshops that encourage creative confidence and playful exploration. Her practice invites viewers to slow down, feel their way into the work, and form their own personal connection with the stories held in each layered surface.
