Aratoi’s current exhibitions include Carterton local Angela Singer, Whanganui glass artist Hannah Bremner, animator Simon Ray, Breadcraft Wairarapa School’s Art and the social history exhibition Patented: Inventions that Changed the World. The museum marked its 50th anniversary in 2019 with a major exhibition, public programmes, and a publication. Currently, Aratoi hosts between 20-25 exhibitions annually, delivers a free education programme to thousands of students, runs public programmes, and operates a museum shop. The Aratoi collection remains the only public collection of art works in Wairarapa.
