Esther Bunning is a full-time photographic artist with over 35 years of experience. Her work is recognised for its distinctive, dreamlike quality, often carrying a quiet sense of magic. She captures people and landscapes in deeply personal ways, revealing subtle layers that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Bunning continually experiments with creative techniques and tools, bringing an unexpected edge to her photography. Her landscapes and organic works extend this approach, combining photography with elements of painting, drawing, texture, and light to create vibrant, expressive pieces.
A Nikon Ambassador for New Zealand and an Asukabook Ambassador for Australasia, her work is held in private collections both nationally and internationally.
