Marie is a visual artist working across painting, drawing, and textile practices, integrating embroidery and poetry to explore memory, narrative, and expression. Her works are visual poems about being at home within oneself and with nature. The rhythm of stitching becomes a meditative process and a way of drawing with thread.
She holds an Advanced Diploma in Art & Creativity (Level 7) from The Learning Connexion and has spent the past five years as a Creativity Kaiako, mentoring and teaching art while encouraging creative exploration.
Her work has been exhibited in the Upper Hutt Arts Trail (2023), Fibre Arts Take Two Collections as Catalyst online exhibition (2024), the Parkin Drawing Prize (2024), Wellington Regional Art Review (2024), Wellington Visual Art Prize (2025), The Museum of Our Childhood collaboration (2025), Greytown Art Gallery, Greytown (2025), and Te Kore Te Pō Te Ao Mārama TLC Staff Exhibition (2026). and current with Red Delicious Gallery, Greytown.
