The Yellow Room is in a heritage building located in the heart of Greytown. Over The Trail weekend, The Yellow Room will make a focus on the Wairarapa, showing a collection of work by local artists. In addition, Print Maker Nick Brandon, and Textile Artist, Anne Benson will be giving demonstrations (below Nick and Anne’s self-portrait). Nick, who tutors in a wide range of print making techniques at the Masterton Art Club, will demonstrate the steps needed to create a print. Anne is a textile artist whose lifelong passion for stitching and fabric has evolved into a rich and expressive art practice. She enjoys Japanese Sashiko stitching and has many years of experience in creating textile artworks and art quilts.

In the spirit of Leonardo da Vinci’s belief that poetry, like art media, seeks to evoke emotion, there’ll be poetry in The Yellow Room 4-5pm Saturday, 26 September. As the seating is limited, please RSVP 027 595 0010.
