Set within a restored historic homestead and surrounded by expansive gardens in the South Wairarapa, Rototawai offers a rare opportunity to experience New Zealand art in the Homestead Gallery which houses Anna Bidwills permanent collection, recognised as a significant group of works by notable contemporary New Zealand artists.
In addition to the main gallery, a new Garden Gallery has been added exhibiting a private collection of works.
Wander the gardens at your own pace and enjoy the art, history and architecture of the house.
Please note that Rototawai is an exhibition gallery showcasing work by some of New Zealand’s most respected artists. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the collection; however, artworks are not available for purchase at this venue.
