Based in Greytown and with a background in science and mathematics, Helen uses this knowledge to
influence her interpretation of the wonderful land and life forms that Aotearoa, New Zealand is home
to.
Helen paints in a variety of styles and water-based media and enjoys including both detailed and
stylised images, often incorporating them within a single piece. Her detailed bird paintings highlight
the role particular plants play in their world.
Her portrait and commission work includes elements that are either important to, or reflect aspects of
the subject.
Helen’s work can be found in many shops and galleries within New Zealand.
