Jacqui Clarke is a ceramicist based in East Taratahi, Wairarapa. Working primarily in terracotta
and stoneware, she favors a restrained palette with minimal glaze, allowing form and texture to
take center stage.
Inspired by the landscapes, plant life, insects and bird life of the Wairarapa,
Clarke draws on the region’s natural forms, patterns and textures to inform her
ceramic practice.
